Summer Program
Kids’ Corner’s Summer Program upholds the same safe, engaging, caring and values-driven environment, coupled with a fun-loving, learning-filled atmosphere that has been central to the Kids’ Corner Out-of-School Time Program for over 40 years.
Summer Program Information:
Typical daily schedule:
At drop off, if the weather is lovely (which we always hope for), we have outdoor free play where the kids have unstructured outdoor time to play basketball, four space, soccer, play with chalk, and play with their friends. If the weather is unfavorable, we will have indoor free play inside of our respective classrooms. Each classroom has a set of toys, games, and art activities to choose from.
After free play, the kids engage in enrichment programs Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. These enrichments change weekly. They have included activities such as top-secret science experiments, karate, hip-hop dance, gymnastics, art, sports, theater & music. Most of these enrichments are taught by local outside instructors, and occasionally our seasoned staff.
After engaging in enrichments, the children take a break and have a little more indoor/outdoor free play time. We also then take a break for lunch.
Afternoon activities include off-site excursions, which have included trips to Atlantis Sports Club (an indoor swim facility), Winchester Indoor Tennis Center, local splash parks, and a Kids’ Corner’s favorite–‘projects’ (small project-based activities which range from art, to sports, to science, and more), where kids can sign up for their preferred activity for an afternoon session.
Every Wednesday, (weather permitting), the whole program enjoys an all-day field trip, which have previously included trips to Southwick Zoo, beaches/playgrounds such as Stage Fort Park, Castle Island, Nelson Beach, Spectacle Island, Hampton Beach State Park, and more! If the weather is not favorable, we do fun activities on site such as a big indoor hide and seek game, or a special movie day with special snacks. These activities and field trips change weekly as well.
On Thursday afternoons, the whole program takes part in either program-wide theme party days (that include different fun themed art/sports stations to visit and rotate through) or a special performer (we've had animal shows, magic shows, science performers, etc). These activities rotate weekly as well.
Friday afternoons, weather permitting, we do a big water play session outside with water squirters, and an inflatable water slide, or the kids take a trip to the splash park. We end our afternoons followed by a visit from the ice cream truck!

Tips on registering:

For example, if your son will be completing kindergarten in 2026, please select the Kindergarten (K Room) classroom. If your daughter will be completing 4th grade, sign up for the 3rd-5th grade classroom. All registration is done on Sawyer.
Also, due to a high volume of website traffic on registration day, you may experience slowness on the Sawyer website. We request help from Sawyer, but technical issues sometimes arise. We appreciate your patience with this .
What is Sawyer? Sawyer is the website that we use that has online registration for our enrichments, programs and events. Making an account for your family is easy and free. Once you have created your profile, you can sign up for our programs and pay using your credit card on your account.
